Dr Ana Lúcia Santos, Postdoctoral Researcher at Project TRACE – Tracing Queer Citizenship Over Time, participated in the III International Colloquium INCT FUTEBOL – Football seen through the social and human sciences: Ibero-American studies and perspectives, held across Lisbon, Coimbra, and Porto.

At the Centre for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra (CES-UC), Ana Lúcia Santos presented the paper “Sport and Diversity: challenges for trans and intersex people”. The presentation drew on Santos’ research on the specific challenges faced by trans and intersex people in sports contexts.

The colloquium was organised by: Instituto Nacional de Ciência e Tecnologia – Estudos do Futebol Brasileiro (INCT/CNPq); CEIS20 – University of Coimbra and CES – University of Coimbra.
