The documentary film Outlasting – Living Archives of Older Queers, directed by Ana Cristina Santos and Nuno Barbosa, has been awarded Best LGBTQ+ Film at the Your Way Film Festival, an annual international event dedicated to showcasing independent cinema from around the world.

Produced within Project TRACE – Tracing Queer Citizenship Over Time, the film explores the life stories and memories of older LGBTQI+ people in Southern Europe, contributing to the documentation and preservation of queer histories that have often remained invisible.

The Your Way Film Festival is known for creating a vibrant space where independent filmmakers and cinephiles come together to celebrate cinema. The festival’s 2026 edition will take place in Valletta, Malta.
