TRACE Class on “LGBTQIA+ Struggles in Contemporary Portuguese Society” at the BA on Sociology of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra, by Pedro Fidalgo

Pedro Fidalgo, TRACE research manager, led a session titled “LGBTQIA+ Struggles in Contemporary Portuguese Society” for first-year sociology students in the Contemporary Portuguese Society course at the Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra.

Held on October 25, 2024, these two classes focused on sexual and gender diversity, LGBTQIA+ life courses, and the evolution of Portugal’s legal and sociocultural framework regarding sexual and gender minorities. This session was organized at the invitation of Professor Cíntia Fachada.
