On August 28, 2024, TRACE Researcher Dr Pako Chalkidis presented his paper on “𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗚𝗕𝗧𝗤𝗜+ 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗲” at the European Sociological Association Conference in Porto, Portugal. His presentation highlighted the significant legislative changes in Greece from 2014 to today, driven by European guidelines and the European Court of Human Rights. Chalkidis explored how these changes have impacted the lives of LGBTQI+ people over 60, who have witnessed a shift from criminalisation to recognition and inclusion.
