PhD candidate Irene Massa successfully defended her doctoral project at the PhD Programme in Human Rights in Contemporary Societies at the Institute of Interdisciplinary Research of the University of Coimbra (III-UC).
Irene Massa’s dissertation, “No Country for Older Queers: The Lived Experience of Ageing LBTQ+ Women in Sardinia and Sicily,” explores the realities of ageing among LBTQ+ women in these two Italian islands.
The júri included Professor José Manuel Pureza (President), Professor Ana Cristina Santos (Advisor) and Professor Pablo Pérez Navarro from the University of La Laguna as external evaluator.
This doctoral project was developed within the framework of TRACE – Tracing Queer Citizenship Over Time in articulation with the project’s work.
