Professor Ana Cristina Santos, TRACE PI, was invited as a Visiting Scholar expert on LGBTQI+ Studies by the University of Bergen, Norway (10-15 June 2024).

During the Visiting Scholarship several meetings took place, at the Department of Archaeology, History, Cultural Studies and Religion (AHKR) and the Skeivt arkiv (the Norwegian Queer Archive, based at Bergen University). Santos had the opportunity to present project TRACE, learn about the Norwegian Queer Archive and foster future collaborations between our institutions.

Highly meaningful conversations were held with Professor Tone Hellesund, who created the Queer Archive in 2015, Runar Jordåen, Historian and Senior Academic Librarian working in the Queer Archive, and Silje Teigland Røstøen, Senior Executive Officer at the University of Bergen Library Department of special collections.
