Pako Chalkidis took part in the Congress Unrecorded Lives: A History of Lesbian Desires in Greece (19th – 20th c.), held at the Historical Archive of the University of Athens in Greece.
Dr Pako Chalkidis presented the paper “Queer Living Archives: Why Biographic Accounts Matter”, co-authored with Ana Cristina Santos, PI of Project TRACE – Tracing Queer Citizenship over Time.
Greece is one of the countries under analysis in TRACE, for which Pako Chalkidis is responsible. Our presence at this congress is particularly meaningful: lesbian and queer feminine lives are still too often overlooked in both archives and research. This is a gap project TRACE is activelly challenging.
